GLOBAL IMPACT ON LANDMINES:

I spent three years working on a global campaign to ban the manufacture and use of landmines, contributing to the Ottawa Treaty ratified by 196 countries. This campaign was recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize.

THE POWER OF PUBLIC SPEAKING:

Despite a childhood marked by domestic violence that left me mute, I found my voice through public speaking. In 2023, I had the honor of speaking in front of 20,000 people in India, calling for compassion, kindness, and the recognition of our shared humanity.

MY LOVE FOR TRAVEL:

Travel is one of my greatest passions, and I’ve been fortunate to visit 50 countries. Ireland holds a special place in my heart, having visited six times. I also lived in India for two years, further enriching my global experiences.

VOLUNTEERING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE:

I volunteer for a charity supporting children and young people from Palestine, teaching English through performance, storytelling, and poetry. Working with young people is a true joy—nothing beats seeing their creativity and resilience.

A PERSONAL CONNECTION WITH JK ROWLING

went to school with JK Rowling, and her younger sister, much to my regret, got me smoking when we were 18! It’s a fun and quirky part of my history.
